Marie Ungar is a writer and editor from Charlottesville, Virginia. Her poetry appears in Poetry Northwest, DIALOGIST, Four Way Review, Lake Effect, and elsewhere and has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and the Best of the Net Awards. Her criticism appears in ASAP Review and the Oxonian Review. Her writing has received awards and recognition from Harvard University, Hollins University, and the Fralin Museum of Art. She works as an editoral assistant at Grove Atlantic, serves as a contributing editor for the Oxonian Review, and read for the Best American Short Stories anthology series for many years. Marie enjoys going on walks with friends and arguing about all the pretty and ugly details of the buildings they pass.
